Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) & Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Solution Focused Brief Therapy is a goal, strength and solution based approach to creating positive change. SFBT believes bringing about desired change is not necessarily an indication of what caused the problem. SFBT identifies strengths that are already present, typically focuses on present and future possibilities, and helps clients to construct a concrete vision of a preferred future of themselves.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a short-term form of therapy that focuses on adult relationships and attachment/bonding. The therapist and clients look at patterns in the relationship and take steps to create a more secure bond and develop more trust to move the relationship in a healthier, more positive direction.
