Benefits of Extended Puppy Pose

  • Lengthens the spine
  • Calms the mind
  1. Start in Table Top on your hands and knees.  Keep the hips high and walk the hands out in front of you until you feel a nice stretch through the spine.  Toes can be curled under or tops of the feet flat on the mat.
  2. As you exhale, shift hips back towards the heels. Press hands into the mat. Keep arms active and extended so elbows are off the mat.
  3. Release forehead to the mat and relax the neck. 
  4. Breathe into the back, feel your spine lengthen. Hold for 30 to two minutes.
